Cosmic PV Power Ltd has secured a Consent to Establish (CTE) approval for its 1.10 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant progress in the project's development.

The plant will be developed on 60 acres of land leased for 99 years and will potentially strengthen India's domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and create employment opportunities in the region.

Commercial operations are scheduled to commence in the financial year 2027-28.

According to a statement by the company, it plans to use TOPCon technology for its solar cell production, making it a significant contributor to India's growing solar manufacturing ecosystem.

This project aligns with the company’s strategy to expand domestic solar manufacturing capacity and support India's renewable energy and energy security objectives. The facility is also expected to contribute to the country's broader clean energy transition and net-zero ambitions by enhancing indigenous solar cell production.
