Dr Bjiay Kumar Mohanty has taken additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) on Wednesday. Currently, he is serving at IREDA as Director (Finance).
He has assumed additional charge for three months or until the appointment of a permanent position holder. He has taken over from Pradip Kumar Das, who retired from the post of CMD of IREDA on June 30.
Dr Mohanty brings over 27 years of professional experience across organisations including IREDA, REC, CESCO and GRIDCO. He has been serving as IREDA's Chief Financial Officer and Director (Finance) since October 2023
He holds bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Law from Utkal University, Odisha, along with master's degrees in Philosophy (Commerce) and Public Administration from the same university. He is also an alumnus of the University of Delhi, where he earned a Master of Commerce degree, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
