The Third India–Australia Annual Summit marked a major milestone in bilateral relations, confirming Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The summit held in Melbourne on 9 July produced key advancements in maritime and energy security, cyber defense, critical technology, and professional skill development.

A significant outcome of the summit was the completion of the Administrative Arrangement under the India–Australia Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement, enabling long-term exports of Australian uranium to India for peaceful purposes under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards. This arrangement will significantly support India's long-term energy security and nuclear ambitions.

Moreover, this accord will also support India’s Nuclear Energy Mission which targets 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047 and will strengthen Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Act enacted in December 2025 permitting Indian private enterprises and joint ventures to construct, own, and operate nuclear power facilities and further securing a reliable supply of uranium, the framework instills greater confidence in developers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
