India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, to be held in Goa from January 27 to 30, will bring together energy ministers, industry leaders, policymakers and financial institutions at a time of major shifts in the global energy landscape, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has said.
Speaking at the curtain-raiser press conference, Puri said the four-day event will focus on strengthening energy security, mobilising investment and advancing practical, scalable pathways for decarbonisation.
The conclave, to be hosted at ONGC’s Advanced Training Institute in Goa, is expected to be the largest edition so far, with more than 75,000 delegates, over 600 exhibitors and 500 global speakers across 120 conference sessions. Participation has steadily increased since the event’s launch in 2023.
At least 17 ministers and deputy ministers from countries including the UAE, Canada, the Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Myanmar and Tanzania have confirmed their participation, along with representatives from international organisations such as the International Energy Forum, Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) and the Eurasian Economic Union.
The exhibition will be organised across 11 thematic zones covering hydrogen, renewables, biofuels, Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), city gas distribution, petrochemicals, digitalisation and AI, Net Zero solutions and indigenisation, with new additions this year including nuclear energy and sustainable aviation fuel zones.
The conference programme will include ministerial sessions, leadership panels and one-on-one energy talks focusing on global energy markets, technology, financing and sustainability. Several commercial agreements are also expected to be signed during the event, spanning upstream, refining, LNG and clean energy segments.
A key highlight will be the Prime Minister’s Roundtable, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with global CEOs and leaders from Indian and international energy companies. Bilateral energy dialogues with partner countries are also scheduled alongside the main conference.
According to the Minister, IEW 2026 aims to position India as a credible platform for global energy cooperation while balancing energy security, economic growth and climate goals.
