External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar convened bilateral discussions with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as part of his official trip to the Gulf nation.
The two leaders held a discussion regarding new opportunities to further strengthen the India-Qatar Strategic Partnership and reviewed the full range of bilateral engagements, specifically highlighting energy security, trade, investments, connectivity, security, and community ties.
“External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar concluded his visit to Qatar on 05 July 2026. During the visit, he held a meeting with HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. They reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations with a focus on energy, trade, investments and people-to-people ties, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
