New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi said the global community is recognising India’s progress and potential in the new and renewable energy sector, with several countries keen to invest in the sector.
He said around 8 to 10 countries are expected to participate as partner countries in the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from November 2 to 5.
Addressing the Mumbai Edition Roadshow for the upcoming event, Joshi emphasised the importance of capacity building, commitment, quality, reliability and affordability in the renewable energy sector.
The Minister also highlighted India’s progress in new and renewable energy, including crossing 300 GW of renewable energy capacity, installing PM Surya Ghar solar power systems in 50 lakh households, and increasing energy generation from wind and solar power.
