Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has appointed Dr Alka Mundra as Independent Director on its Board with effect from August 15, 2026.
The appointment was executed under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MOP&NG) letter reference number CA-31033/1/2026-CA-PNG (55708) dated August 12, 2026.
Moreover, it has been affirmed that Dr Mundra has no family ties to any company director and is fully eligible to serve as a director, with no restraining orders from SEBI or any regulatory body.
Dr Mundra holds an LLB from Vidyapeeth, Udaipur and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She has also earned a doctoral degree in political science from Udaipur's Mohanlal Sukhadia University.
She has expertise across education, social development, public policy and legal studies and brings a multidisciplinary perspective to issues relating to governance, public administration, social empowerment and community development.
Furthemore, Dr Mundra also supports women’s empowerment and social development and her broad academic and professional background provides valuable insights into inclusive development, stakeholder engagement, social issues, and public institutions.
