State-run oil majors Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) are gearing up to launch 10-kilogram lightweight composite Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders for domestic and commercial use, bringing a significant victory for both small business owners and mobile workers.

At present, commercial users are only offered heavy 19 kg cylinders or smaller 5 kg and 2 kg variants making it extremely laborious for small cafes, tea stalls, and highrise residents.

By introducing 10 kg commercial alternatives, oil companies are directly responding to years of demand of the commercial users for a more manageable, mid-sized energy solution.

This proposal is expected to bring seamless, highly practical fuel alternatives for millions of vendors, tenants, and students across the country, eliminating the physical strain of managing traditional 19-kilogram commercial cylinders.
