Iran on Friday said that The Strait of Hormuz is “declared completely open” for remaining period of ceasefire. "In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran,” said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on X.
This development comes after the US-announced naval blockade of the strait in response to de-facto closure of the narrow shipping lane by Iran amid US-Israel-Iran war that broke out on February 28.
