Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) has won a framework agreement worth ₹15,000 crore with TenneT for a 2 GW offshore wind programme. This marks the third straight day of order win disclosures for L&T. Since May 20, 2026, the company has secured orders valued up to ₹45,000 crore. Meanwhile, the firm secured an order of ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore range on Friday and a mega order in the ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore range last week, as per CNBC TV 18.
Furthermore, L&T by forming a consortium with Hitachi Energy, has signed a FCA for six projects and potential upcoming prospects within TenneT's 2 GW HVDC initiative.
The framework is expected to strengthen large-scale integration of offshore renewable energy and speed up Europe's move toward a sustainable, carbon-free energy landscape.
Under the agreement, the two parties in alliance will further support the execution of two ongoing projects: IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1, in the Netherlands. Also, the consortium will commence two new projects, Nederwiek 3 in the Netherlands and LanWin 5 in Germany.
The two projects will collectively route green energy from Dutch and German North Sea zones to onshore grids, as disclosed by L&T and boost an 8 GW transmission capacity at 525 kV.
As per the signed agreement, L&T will hold responsibilities across engineering, procurement, construction and installation and also execute the offshore converter platforms and associated infrastructure. Meanwhile, Hitachi Energy will deploy its HVDC Light technology to ensure optimal power conversion and transmission.
