Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday invited Swedish companies to boost their footprint in India’s green hydrogen mission, clean energy and other sectors.
During his trip to Sweden, Modi stressed on the democracy, transparency, innovation and sustainability values shared by both the countries and urged to blend India’s scale, talent and growth momentum with the Scandinavian nation’s strengths in innovation and sustainability.
Modi appreciated Sweden’s continued engagement with India across strategic sectors, including innovation, clean technologies, advanced manufacturing, sustainable mobility and digital transformation.
Modi’s visit has come at a time when India is making efforts to attract investments in new and renewable energy to realise a low-carbon economy, boost energy security by significantly reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels, and achieve Net Zero goals.
