Mohit Kumar Aggarwal assumed charge as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas under the Central Staffing Scheme. He is an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of the 2015 batch.
Recommended for central deputation by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), he has been appointed for a four-year term from the date of taking charge, or until further notice, whichever comes first, according to an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
DoT has been instructed by the DoPT to release Aggarwal from his current responsibility without any delay, allowing him to assume his new role at the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in New Delhi.
