Octillion Power Systems has commissioned its third manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, expanding its production capacity to meet the growing demand across passenger, commercial, and public transit sectors. Spanning over 13,000 square meters, the site was transformed from a vacant structure into a fully operational facility in under eight months.

The plant will annually manufacture more than 48,000 battery systems at its full capacity. With this expansion Octillion's combined production capacity in India will potentially climb above 1,50,000 battery systems and around nine GWh annually.

Furthermore, according to Industry data from JMK Research, India’s EV sales increased by 43 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2026 to more than 1.54 mn units, with electric passenger vehicle sales up 83 percent and electric bus sales up 42 percent. Meanwhile electric truck sales saw a cumulative growth of more than 300 per cent as logistics and industrial fleets are rapidly transitioning to cleaner transport options, accelerating the need for locally produced battery solutions ahead of 2030 targets.
