In a latest development, Oswal Pumps Ltd (OPL) has secured will design, supply and install 20 MW grid-connected rooftop solar capacity across 18,089 consumer sites of Bihar’s Darbhanga Circle. This is as per a letter of award by North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd’s (NBPDCL)
To be implemented under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY), 1.1 kW solar systems will be installed at each consumer site. Under the Utility-led Aggregation model, CAPEX plus Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode will be used for the project installation. The order value of the installation will be around ₹78 crore with GST.
Over the period of contract, every beneficiary household is expected to get around 15,000 units of solar power. From the execution of the respective Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), the projects are required to be commissioned within nine months. Besides, OPL will be responsible installation systems’ operation and maintenance for 10 years from commissioning.
