Oyster Renewable Pvt Ltd announced on Thursday that it has entered into a binding term sheet with Kutch Chemical Industries to deliver 25.2 MW wind-solar hybrid round-the-clock (RTC) renewable power, including 25.2 MW wind and 27.72 MWp solar in Gujarat, under a captive structure.

As per an official press release, once the hybrid solar-wind facility is operational, it will potentially produce more than 1,08,000 MWh of clean power annually, decreasing nearly 85,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Siddharth Bhatia, the company’s MD & CEO said,“Gujarat continues to be a key market in our growth journey, and this, our third project in the state, reflects our long-term commitment to the region.”

The press release also stated that the agreement highlights rising industrial demand in Gujarat for firm RTC renewable power under the captive model, as manufacturers look to de-risk energy costs and meet sustainability commitments simultaneously.
