India's integrated solar PV modules and key components manufacturer hosted the second edition of ‘Anusandhan, a conclave on PV encapsulants and backsheets technology Conclave on July 17 in New Delhi.
The conclave brought together leading solar module manufacturers, EPC companies, technology experts and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas on the latest developments in photovoltaic materials, module reliability and manufacturing technologies, the company said in a press release.
As India's solar manufacturing sector continues to scale rapidly, this serves as a dedicated platform for technical dialogue, enabling the industry to collaborate on material innovations that improve module performance, durability and long-term reliability.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of two new additions to RenewSys' advanced materials portfolio. PRESERV® 300 TF USB is an ultra-low Water Vapour Transmission Rate (WVTR) backsheet developed for Glass-to-Backsheet (G2BS) modules. With a WVTR of approximately 0.01 g/m²/day, it delivers exceptional moisture protection while offering a lighter alternative to conventional Glass-to-Glass module construction.
The company also introduced CONSERV® EPE ACE, a next generation encapsulant incorporating anti-acid grafted EVA technology to enhance long-term module stability while helping manufacturers optimise costs without compromising performance.
The conclave featured technical sessions on the impact of Bill of Materials (BOM) selection on module reliability, advances in encapsulant and backsheet technologies, and the material innovations driving the next generation of high-efficiency solar modules.
Avinash Hiranandani, the company’s Vice Chairman & MD said, “India's solar manufacturing industry is evolving rapidly, and collaboration will be critical to sustaining this growth. Through this meet, we have created a platform where the industry can exchange ideas, discuss emerging technologies and collectively advance photovoltaic manufacturing.
The launch of PRESERV® 300 TF USB and CONSERV® EPE ACE reflects our continued commitment to developing innovative materials that enhance module performance and reliability.”
Rajesh Singh, CEO for the company’s Encapsulants & Backsheets added, “Every innovation we develop is driven by the evolving needs of module manufacturers. PRESERV® 300 TF USB addresses the demand for advanced moisture barrier solutions, while CONSERV® EPE ACE delivers an optimal balance of performance, durability and cost efficiency. Together, these products strengthen our portfolio of high-performance PV materials."
