Seven Greens Solar Systems Pvt Ltd has commissioned the 2.7 MW Jaipur Railway Solar Project. The project featured installation of rooftop solar systems in 23 stations and a 350-km North Western Railway corridor in Rajasthan and Haryana.
The initiative marks a milestone in converting traditional transit hubs into clean energy generators. The project reduces reliance on fossil-fuels based grid electricity by utilising distributed rooftop solar assets. It also decreases the operational carbon emissions and directly enables Indian Railways’ overarching mission to transition toward a net-zero carbon transportation network.
Developing clean energy projects across an active rail corridor included major operational challenges. The company handled the complete project lifecycle from initial system design and procurement to logistics, installation, and commissioning to upholding stringent quality, safety and operational standards across all 23 sites.
