Arti Kujur has been appointed as an Independent Director at SJVN Ltd, a navratna company, effective July 15 this year, as per an order issued by the Ministry of Power.
While confirming Kujur’s appointment, SJVN affirmed that she holds no relations with any of the existing directors of the company and no SEBI directive prohibits her from assuming a directorship role.
Kujur is a social worker based in Ranchi and holds a bachelor's and a master's degrees in political science and public administration, and an LLB from Ranchi University.
She has also served as a Member of the Ranchi Zila Parishad from November 2010 to March 2022, where she addressed administrative and community needs across rural and tribal regions by coordinating with government bodies, improving welfare access, and conducting outreach programmes.
