Torrent Power has appointed Vikas Poddar as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a CFO with over 25 years of international experience across India, the UK, and Southeast Asia, Poddar has built a track record of driving transformation, value creation, and stakeholder confidence across large-scale telecom and infrastructure businesses.
At Indus Towers, India’s largest towerco with revenue exceeding $3.5 billion, he lead strategic finance, M&A, investor relations, and corporate planning, helping shape the company’s growth across emerging verticals such as digital connectivity and energy infrastructure.
Poddar’s focus has been on improving capital efficiency, optimising governance, and advancing our ESG and digitisation agenda. “Earlier, as Finance Director at Vodafone Intelligent Solutions in London, I co-led enterprise transformation initiatives that delivered around 30 percent uplift to the long-range plan, €40 million in efficiency gains, and significant improvements in financial transparency and automation,” Poddar has shared in his LinkedIn profile.
