Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri held a meeting with S&P Global President Dave Ernsberger on Monday, as they discuss global energy demand and ways to build a resilient energy supply chain.
“Had a productive meeting with Dave Ernsberger, President, S&P Global. Our discussions centered on the demand supply situation in global energy markets and ways to build resilient energy supply chains,” Puri wrote on his X handle.
“India is moving aggressively on Green Hydrogen, biofuel blending, and a range of alternative fuels, while simultaneously accelerating domestic exploration and production efforts. These initiatives are key to building a resilient, sustainable, and future-ready energy ecosystem for the nation,” he added.
This meeting came at a time when the world is starting an unprecedented global energy crisis triggered by the de-facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran. The Strait of Hormuz handles the world’s 20 percent of energy shipments and almost 50 percent of India’s oil and gas supplies.
